After our concert tomorrow night at Austin Goes Classical, we will be leaving early Friday morning for the always fabulous White Pine Festival in Stillwater, Minnesota. Needless to say, going from Austin to Minnesota will be a serious weather shock for us and our instruments! If you’ve ever wondered what it is like to travel as a string quartet, we can tell you it is complicated. We’ve got instruments, luggage with merchandise, babies–you name it, we’re probably schlepping it. This trip is made extra complicated since we will be performing Black Angels by George Crumb–a piece that requires tuned glasses. It is always great though to see old and new friends wherever we travel–if you happen to catch a show, be sure to say hi!
The beautiful town of Stillwater, MN…
