  • Made her solo debut with the North Carolina Symphony at the age of 11.
  • At the age of 13, won the North Carolina National Bank Music Competition, which gave her a full scholarship to attend the North Carolina School of the Arts for High School.
  • Has soloed with numerous orchestras including the Winston-Salem Symphony, the Durham Symphony, and the Asheville Symphony Orchestra among others.
  • Received her Bachelor and Master’s degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music where she studied with Donald Weilerstein and David Cerone.
  • She was invited to be a guest speaker and role model for the winners of the 2003 Glamour Magazine’s Top Ten College Women.
  • When not traveling, Sandy enjoys spending time at home with her husband Daniel (also a member of the quartet), sons Adrian and Brian, and their two cats, Pon and Poko.
