The Miró Quartet prides itself on its broad and diverse programming, featuring the mainstays of the standard repertoire as well as more eclectic choices. The group is also noted for its consistently high level of presentation of repertoire from many styles and periods. On a Miró program list can be found everything from Haydn and Mozart to contemporary commissions, from Beethoven cycles to electric quartets, each work carefully chosen and played with impeccable technique and thoughtful interpretation. The Miró endeavors to create each musical program as a chef presents a sumptuous multi-course meal: pairing the familiar with the adventurous, the traditional with the eclectic, and above all setting each work off to its best advantage through sometimes surprising contrasts with its neighbors.
