Miró Quartet announces the appointment of William Fedkenheuer

After a nearly nine month search, we are pleased to announce the appointment of William Fedkenheuer as our new second violinist! Will comes to the Miró Quartet from the Fry Street Quartet, where he has been the first violinist since 2006. From 2000 to 2006, Will was a member of the Borromeo Quartet, resident string quartet at the New England Conservatory in Boston. A recipient of Lincoln Center’s Martin E. Segal Award, Will is a consummate chamber musician and a welcome addition to the Miró Quartet family. Welcome Will!

On November 9th,, the Miró Quartet performed a Café Concert at the studios of WQXR in New York City. The appearance was part of WQXR’s “Beethoven month”, so fittingly, the Miró Quartet performed the first movement of Beethoven’s monumental Opus 132 Quartet. Click here to watch the video!
